SBA (U.S. Small Business Administration)
gives advices on how to start, move and expand a business.

STATE OF CONNECTICUT SMALL BUSINESS RESOURCES

CDA (Connecticut Development Authority)
offers the Urbank program for those businesses unable to obtain
bank financing

DECD (Department of Economic and Community Development)
DECD staff is composed of highly trained economic and community
development professionals who work directly with the business,
developers, housing advocates, community groups and municipalities.
They help promote business development, job growth, affordable
housing and neighborhood revitalization in the communities they serve.

EDDI (CT Economic Development and Data Information)
publishes brochures on the labor force, leading employers
and business growth.

CLIC (CT Licensing Info Center)
provides links to the licensing requirements of many trades and occupations.

LOCAL BUSINESS RESOURCES

SCORE (Counselors to America’s Small Business)
has information on how to write a business plan in both English
and Spanish, and guides for financing and managing your business.

WCSU The Young Library
provides access to business handbooks, almanacs, encyclopedias and
directories. The library subscribes to EBSCO's Business Source Premier,
Academic Search Premier, Lexis-Nexis, Business NewsBank, Mergent
and Reference USA, which provide full-text articles in financial,
business, marketing and legal research. The library also subscribes
to many business journals both in print and online. The Young Library is
